We're thrilled to introduce you to Nell Greco whose 2023 release Inanima will be out on Clonmell Jazz Social in November this year.

Nell presents a striking debut that is unlike anything else on the current scene. Her distinctive vocal style is the result of a wide range of influences from Bobby McFerrin and Ella Fitzgerald to Björk and operatically-trained Australian singer Katie Noonan. 

Her band includes some of the London jazz scene's most unique voices: Maria Chiara Argirò on keys; Pedro Velasco on guitar; Ruth Goller on bass; Will Glaser on drums and Jonathan Chung on saxophone. Together, they present Inanima, an album that blends free-improv and razor sharp poetic lyrics with virtuosic musicianship and a fistful of attitude. 

Speaking about the album's concept, Nell says, “Take everything you have ever inhaled, trawl through it and pour it out into a space with a barely predetermined shape. That was the jumping off point for this group.”
